Blogger: MY Kids on the Block - Create Post

Watching a little "Hoarders" on A&E.  I'm so happy I'm not a hoarder.  Kent thinks I 'collect' a little too much - ummm.....NO I DO NOT.  Thankyouverymuch!

So, I'm horrible at coming up with Blog topics, and the only people who really 'follow' my blog would be bored if I just stole THEIR ideas.  SO - I'm back to the questions I started a few weeks ago.  Now, for numbers 21-30.

1. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

Well, as it stands, I’m pretty much a ‘worried genius’ and that isn’t working for me.  I hate worrying – so being blissfully stupid appeals to me right now!

2. Why are you, you?

I really think that the person you become in life, is a direct result of every person you have known, and every experience you have lived.  I’ve been rejected by many people close to me, so I seek a lot of approval and love from people.  At the same time, I make sure my kids know I love them EVERY day – every chance I get!

3. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?

I know that I have been a friend to every friend I’ve ever had.  I love completely, and trust fully – until you show me I can’t.  Sadly, some of my ‘friends’ have decided that my opinion doesn’t matter (especially if it’s opposite of theirs) and that I should drop everything in my life to make THEM a priority.  When I’m just an ‘option’ to them.  OH well….the friends I do have – the REAL friends – are worth WAY more than the pretend friends I used to have.

4. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?

WHEN A GOOD FRIEND MOVES AWAY!!!  Seriously???  Belena moves, Laury moves, Ann moves…..I’m not making new friends EVER AGAIN!!

5. What are you most grateful for?

My children.  With every fiber of my being, and every breath in my body.

6. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Oh good Lord – let me lose the old ones – they are great and all, but maybe I’d be much happier if I didn’t have to think about the old ones and only be concerned with making NEW ones!?

7. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?

Hhhmmm…..Sadly, I assume everything is the truth and all people are good.  But you know what they say about assuming!!

8. Has your greatest fear ever come true?

Almost.  When Rogan was born, we almost lost him.  I thank God every day he let him stay with us!

9. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?

Well….which time?  HA!  Sometimes, when I’m upset about the SAME things I was upset about 5 years ago – it really does matter.  Then I realize, “Wait, I’m still here, doing what I’ve been doing.  Guess it’s NOT that important”.

10. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?

I have way too many to count.  Playing at Sara’s house, baking with my momma, reading with Oscar Allen Honey Cotton Pond, bottling wine with Dad, playing games at the Café, ANY time I spent at Granny’s farm, neighborhood games of hide-n-seek, the swimming pool, and a zillion others.  Why is it so special?  Well, because it made me who I am!!

After reading this - after a year of perspective - yes, I had best friends that moved, but sadly, I learned that a friend who was here, and who chose a BOY over our friendship - which was genuine and true - ON MY PART - hurt far worse than say "see ya later" to my friends moving on to bigger and better. Too bad that friend was screwed over. Live and learn.
